Apple pecan cake with caramel glaze

Ingredients :

For the cake:
3 eggs
1 and 1/2 cups (375 ml) oil
2 cups (400 g) sugar
3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup (150 g) coarsely chopped pecans
3 cups (about 4 large apples) apples, peeled, trimmed and diced
* Caramel sauce
1/2 cup (120 g) butter
1 cup (180 g) brown sugar
1/4 cup (60 mL) milk

 

Directions :

For the cake:
Mix all the ingredients together and place the preparation in a buttered 9 “x 13” (23 cm x 33 cm) pan
Bake in a preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 45 minutes

For the caramel sauce:
Put the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes 30 minutes

Prick the cake in several places with the tip of a knife and pour the caramel sauce over the cake
Serve lukewarm It’s much better!

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds potatoes (thinly sliced)
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 8×8 or 7×10 pan. Then line half of the potatoes on the bottom of the pan.
Melt the butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Add in the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper. Let cook another minute.
Turn heat to medium low. Slowly whisk in the milk and whisk until smooth. Bring to a light simmer to allow to thicken. Then stir in 3/4 cup cheese until melted and remove from heat.
Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes. Then sprinkle about 1/2 cup cheese over top. Line the remaining potatoes over top. Then add the remaining sauce and cheese over top.
Bake uncovered for 50-60 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender an the top is golden brown.

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups salted peanuts
2 cups peanut butter chips
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

DIRECTIONS:

Melt butter and peanut butter chips in a large saucepan over medium heat until smooth, then stir in condensed milk, vanilla extract and marshmallows, stirring until smooth and incorporated.
Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray, or line with parchment paper, then spread half of peanuts across baking dish.
Pour condensed milk mixture over peanuts, then sprinkle remaining peanuts on top.

Ingredients:

Flour: two-thirds of a cup

Coconut: 5 12 cups

Salt: a quarter of a teaspoon

Condensed milk: a carton (sweetened)

Vanilla: 1 teaspoon

 

 

How to prepare :

Heat the oven at 175 degrees.

Cover a tray of cookies with parchment paper.

Mix the flour, coconut and salt in a bowl.

Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and knead by hand until the ingredients are combined.

Make small sized balls with an ice cream spoon and place them in the prepared tray.

Put the tray into the preheated oven for 15 minutes, until the coconut becomes golden brown.

Take the tray out of the oven, leave it to cool, and serve coconut macarons, along with coffee or tea, as desired.

Graham Cracker Toffee Crust

– 5 whole graham cracker sheets
– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons of toffee bits (You’d best use Heath Bits ‘O Brickle Toffee bits)

Peanut Butter Pie Filling

– 1 cup heavy cream
– 6 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
– 1 cup smooth peanut butter
– 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
– 1/2 cup of toffee bits (You’d best use Heath Bits ‘O Brickle Toffee its)
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Chocolate Ganache

– 4 oz. quality semisweet chocolate, chopped
– 1/2 cup of heavy cream

Garnish

– 1/4 cup chopped salted peanuts
– 1 1/2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
– mini chocolate chips (optional)
– chopped peanut butter cups (optional)

METHOD :

1. Preheat oven to 350F and line a 12 count regular size muffin tin with muffin/cupcake liners.

2. Add Graham Cracker Crust ingredients to food processor and blend to a fine crumble. Then make sure to divide Crust mixture between the 12 liners, about a heaping tablespoon each, and press into the bottom of the liners. Now bake until lightly golden, about 5 to 7 minutes; Set aside.

Panera Broccoli Cheese Soup!!!

Ingredients :

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 medium chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2 lb fresh broccoli
  • 1 cup carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper

 

How to make it :

Sauté onion in butter. Set aside.
Cook melted butter and flour using a whisk over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Stir constantly and add the half & half.
Add the chicken stock. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Add the broccoli, carrots and onions. Cook over low heat 20-25 minutes.
dd salt and pepper. Can be puréed in a blender but I don’t. Return to heat and add cheese. Stir in nutmeg.

CHOCOLATE PECAN TURTLE CLUSTERS

I used my homemade caramel recipe for these clusters. I only made half a batch of caramel, as the ingredients below indicate. I’ve got to think about my health you know. Consuming 80 Turtle Clusters could kill a person. Dead. Dead as a door nail! However, if are making Turtle Clusters for the masses please feel free to double this recipe. It will turn out very well.
I love those recipes that we all grew up with, they are just too good to miss out on.

 

WHAT YOU NEED :

– 2 to 1/2 C of pecans
– 1/2 C of butter (preferably salted)
– 1 C of brown sugar
– 1/2 C of light corn syrup
– (1/2 of a 14 ounce can) of condensed milk, sweetened
– 1/2 t of vanilla
– 1 (12 ounce) package of milk chocolate chips
– 1/2 t of shortening (Preferably butter flavored Crisco)

 

DIRECTIONS :

 

1. Into a large skillet, toss 2 to 1/2 cups of pecans. And please toast them over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until they have darkened just a bit and smell fragrant and wonderful, about a few minutes.

2. Next, line 2 large cookie sheets with parchment paper and spray it with cooking spray. Immediately arrange your pecans into clusters, three to a group works well. Please leave some space (about an inch) between each cluster.

3. Prepare the caramel. Pick a medium-sized sauce pan and place into 1/2 C of butter and melt it over medium high heat. Then add 1 C of brown sugar, 1/2 C of light corn syrup and 7 ounces of sweetened condensed milk to the pan and increase the heat just a bit and stir it continually. Make sure to cook and stir until it reaches 235 to 240 degrees. Once it reaches about 234 degrees, you may want to remove it from the heat. Actually, it will continue to rise in temperature just a bit even without the direct heat, making the caramel just the right texture.

4. Once done, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

5. Okay now, you can drizzle (carefully) about 1 to 1/2 teaspoons of caramel over each nut cluster. It’s wise to work quickly, as the caramel will begin to set up. Always make certain that there is caramel touching all of the nuts in your cluster. That’s right, the caramel works like glue, sticking the nuts together.

6. Pour 12 ounces of milk chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each cooking interval.

7. At this point, add 1/2 teaspoon of shortening to the melted chocolate and then let it to sit for 1 or 2 minutes (so it can melt and make the chocolate chips more spreadable). You’d best stir it all together.

8. Immediately, spoon about 1 1/2 teaspoons of melted chocolate over the top of the caramel and nuts. You may want to swirl it around along the top making a pretty swoop with your spoon.

9. At the end, let the chocolate to set up. Now that it has hardened and cooled, serve them immediately, or transfer them to an air tight container.

A SLICE OF HEAVEN CAKE

Ingredients

1 package devil’s food chocolate OR German chocolate cake mix
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel topping
1 8oz tub cool whip
4-5 snickers bar (my preference) you can use skor, heathbar, or mini reeses

 

Directions

Bake the cake according to directions in 9×13 inch pan. Cool for 5 minutes, using the handle of a wooden spoon poke holes into cake, then let cake cool for abit about an 1/2 hour til warm. Slowly pour sweetened milk over cake, letting it soak into holes, then drizzle caramel over the cake.
Let cake cool completely (you may refrigerate it to cool faster just cover well). Top cake with cool whip, decorate with candy & drizzle with caramel!!
